It was my father, taking off his suit jacket and unloosening his tie as he headed into the kitchen that made me realize the power of good food. My father cooked for us every night with care. I’d sit on in the kitchen watch him work. I appreciated that cooking something special was his and would become my love language. I love cooking for people and sharing stories and my personal culinary journey through my food. I’ve opened restaurants around the country and in Europe to share the comfort-food experience with the world. My restaurants have been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Roker on the Road, and National Public Radio; as well as the New York Times and Washington Post. I am an award winning chef, published cookbook author, and champion of cooking and eating well. I hope you will join me on this journey

In the prime of her life, Gillian Clark abandoned the corporate world to pursue her passion---making mouthwatering food with fresh, homegrown ingredients. When she became a single parent with two young daughters, though, Gillian had to reconsider her dreams. Moving to the country and running a small, artisanal farm were put on the back burner---supporting her family had to come first.
But Gillian’s drive to make delicious food was relentless. She finished her culinary degree, survived the tedious prep work of her first cooking job and the difficulty of training during the day and raising two girls at night, and confronted the challenges of working her way up from the bottom in a profession where only the strongest survive.
Chef Gillian takes a fine dining approach to the simple meals that feed us body and soul. In just a forkful you, too, will become a believer. It's okay to be addicted to that roasted chicken. So many folks are.
